David Banner in the EBC House

Another exciting Mountain Dew/GMC Thursday kicked off at the EBC tournament as DJ Camilo filled in for DJ Enough with Hot 97’s live broadcast of the 5 o’clock free ride from the park. Rap Artist David Banner came through and showed his love of EBC basketball as another exciting day of games kicked off at Rucker Park. Before game one began, Mountain Dew had its Code Red contest. Two young boys took part in a relay contest that had them running down the court carrying a six-pack of mountain dew as the put on tee shirts and hats without putting the cans down. The fastest one to complete the relay and score a basket took home the gear and the soda to enjoy. Up and coming R&B artist Chris Brown is becoming a regular at the EBC games. He was back today with another exciting performance, showing off his smooth moves for the fans. He stayed for both games and signed autographs for swooning girls who couldn’t get enough of his sexy smile.
David Banner wasn’t the only celebrity catching the games today. Music producer Sugar Jay, Rich Soil Monstars star Showtime and Electrolite player Byron Mouton were also in the stands to witness the EBC magic. Also, Music Choice, the television music channel, was at the park filming a field segment about EBC for their new hip-hop lifestyle show, “Tha Corner,” which will be hosted by DJ Envy. The segment will air throughout the month of September so make sure to watch it.
The second contest of the day was GMC’s 0 to 60, which has been going on now for four straight weeks without a winner. Another name was drawn as a lucky participant got a shot at driving away with a GMC Yukon Denali if they can make a shot from three-quarters of the court. Unfortunately, the dude couldn’t make the difficult shot and the truck is up for grabs for yet another week. Come by next Thursday and maybe you will be the one to drive away with the official truck of the EBC.
