EBC America in Washington D.C.

EBC America hit the road this past weekend for another exciting day of the EBC America tournament at D.C’s Kennedy Center. Four D.C. teams were set to go head to head to see who can be called the best and represent their City in the championship week of the EBC tournament in New York City. It was a humid and cloudy day as EBC announcer Boobie Smooth “The Politician” announced the games, getting the crowd hyped trying to use positive energy to keep the rain away. It seemed to be working for a while as game one started without a drop.
The first game had Pro Trophy Container taking on Lite 0-2, which was made up of a lot of players from the Electro-lite team that plays in New York’s EBC tournament. G-Money and Freeze-Pop, two of the fan’s favorite, played hard, getting the fans hyped, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Pro Trophy team who took the win with ease.
The second game was where things really started to get interesting. The White Chocolate All-stars were in the house, ready to show Team Drama Sports why they are called All-Stars. The game started off fast paced with lots of energy as White Chocolate hustled down the court sinking threes making it look so simple. He really knows how to put on a show for the crowd. Despite the high energy, the rain began to fall, moving the game into the gym. As the fans packed into the gym, trying to find a seat, the game continued with just as much excitement as it had outdoors. The White Chocolate All-Stars battled hard against Drama Sports, whose main man “Big Youngin” was basically the only one keeping them alive. His drives to the basket and missile free throws kept the game close but not close enough. The All-Stars took the win and headed into the final game against Pro Trophy Container.
The day really progressed with more intensity building as each game was played, making the final game the obvious best. Pro Trophy came out hard and fast, taking the lead early on. They were roughing up White Chocolate who couldn’t seem to stay on his feet. I guess they shouldn’t have done that because once he got mad he really got going and he wasn’t the only one. DJ Sniper found the bottom of the nylon every time he took a shot. The crowd was going nuts as dunks, deep threes, and crazy no-look passes had both teams battling back and forth for the lead. In the end, the All-Stars came out on top and will be headed to New York City in August to play for the official EBC title. Make sure you come through and catch a White Chocolate All-Star game because this team really knows how to put on a show. Schooling players with their street ball antics, they are a sight not to miss. DJ Sniper was the MVP of the day, rightfully so, as he kept his team on top with his crazy jump shot. White Chocolate really came to play today, proving to all why he is called the “King of Street Ball.”
EBC tournament games are the best in street basketball and EBC America allows people from different cities to experience that legendary magic. It gives fans a chance to catch the fun and teams a chance to show of their stuff. EBC America heads to Los Angeles in a few weeks for another crazy day of street ball excitement so keep it locked on the website for more information.
